Visit to northern Illinois!

This past weekend Jackson and I took the girls for a visit to northern Illinois to see some friends from when we lived in Rockford. We left Friday morning and headed to Oswego to stay with a friend from grad school and her family (Nicki, Juan, and Anthony). The kids played all afternoon and then another friend from grad school and his family (Travis, Amy, Morgan and Ayla) joined us for supper. All the kids (big kids and little kids) had a blast playing together! Here are some pictures from that day!



Apparently running up this hill and behind a tree was the thing to do because I don't think I could count how many times the kids made that trip!
Here is cute little Anthony! He will be 2 in about month!
Juan's invention was to tie a rope around this rocking chair then pull the kids up the hill, around the tree and back. Everyone wanted a turn, so Jackson eventually said I need to go put my shoes on and help out....I think they both had their workout for the day!
Morgan and Raelyn giving each other a hug! So cute! Look at the height difference! Raelyn is a little shorty pants and Morgan is tall for her age....but they are only a few months apart in age!

More trips around the tree!
When someone was taking their turn, the kiddo that was waiting always chased the other one!

Juan and Nicki had a tiny little rip in their screen door at the beginning of the day........ by the end of the day the kids were using it as a doggie door to get in and out of the house!

They ordered pizza for dinner so we went to the clubhouse by Nicki and Juan's house so the kids could spread out a little bit and run around since it was getting dark. They had a pool table there so Jackson was showing Raelyn how to play.

Saturday morning we headed towards Rockford and met with many other friends to catch up. It was a really fun weekend and the girls did amazingly well in the car! I was dreading the drive, but they did really really well. It was so nice to catch up with people, but we still didn't get to see everyone we wanted to see. Maybe we will not wait a whole year before going back to visit again!!!!!
