Boy I am really behind on updating our blog! SO much has been going on that I haven't had time to put new pictures and stories up here. The biggest change lately is that I'm back to work! I am doing my school psychology internship in two districts, each about and hour away so I've been really busy. I started last week on August 15th! The girls are going to daycare/preschool in the morning then my mom is picking them up after lunch and they are napping and spending the afternoon at her house. I am really happy that the girls are adjusting well to mommy being away all day. I had them start going to daycare/preschool in the mornings a couple weeks ago so they (mostly Reghan) would slowly get used to me being gone. They are both doing really well there. Reghan's teacher in the baby room, Miss Vicki, says she is such a happy baby and gets along really well with her and the other teacher.
Reghan's current choice of play toys is........anything within reach!! She will grab anything and start chewing on it. Today she found Raelyn's shoe on the floor and guess where it went?!?! In the pictures below, she was sitting in her bumbo seat on the kitchen island and a piece of tupperware was the closest thing to her. She grabs the spoon from me when I'm trying to feed her, she chews on the seatbelt strap, she sucks on my necklace, tugs on my earrings....anything she can get her hands on :) Jackson and I needed to go to Lowe's this week to pick up a few things so we went to eat at a restaurant beforehand. We drove his truck, so we did not have the carseat that you can pick up and carry Reghan in. It was the first time she had tried to sit in a high chair at a restaurant and she just isn't big enough yet, so I just held her. Well, that didn't go very well. Our half of the table was completely cleared and I had to push my plate to the very edge of the table so she wouldn't grab my nachos :)
It is almost impossible for me to work on the computer while Reghan is around. The other day I was finishing up editing pictures I took of some friends and Reghan was fascinated with all the colors and movement on the screen. She kept trying to grab the screen :)
I've struggled to get good pictures because of attitudes but never canines! I was taking pictures of Reghan outside one day when our labs were loose. They were completely fascinated by Reghan, especially once I sat her down in a basket on the ground. This first one is one of only a few that did NOT have a huge chocolate lab in the foreground or background.
Hunter cracks me up in this one. After he wouldn't leave us alone I decided to just go with it and told him to lay down. Why his tongue is hanging out is beyond me!
"Whoa! He's BIG"
He wanted to snuggle with her. It was really sweet how gentle he was with her. He is a clumsy giant, but is one of the sweetest, lovey dogs ever.
Raelyn is LOVING preschool! She doesn't turn 3 until December, but she has moved up to the 3/4 year old room at daycare which is the preschool in the morning. I love hearing her talk about school, the kids in her class, and talking with her about her day. It's so fun to be able to carry on a full two-sided conversation with her!! The pictures below were taking one day a few weeks back. Jackson got home from work and wanted to rest (aka turn the tv on and nap)before going out to work on the house. I said I would take the girls into our room so that it would be quieter. So Raelyn and I played with makeup and she let me take pictures of her making silly faces. I don't know what I was thinking, but I showed her this first silly face and now she wants to do it all the time when I want a picture!!!
Well, I have more to say, but it's getting late and Reghan just woke up. I'm having trouble typing and holding my 17lb baby :) I will try to post stories more often, even if there isn't enough time for pictures.
