15 Month Update

It is so hard to believe that Raelyn is 15 months old already!!! It seems like just last week we were celebrating her birthday!!! Similar to my post on her birthday, I wanted to write about the things she is doing, the words she is saying, and put some of the newest pictures up.

Raelyn is saying about 25 words right now. They are: doggy, dropped, mommy/mama, daddy/dada, ball, fish, cat, Gage, yes, juice, cracker, cookie, all done, socks, shoes, feet teeth, book, duck, Elmo, no, bye, hi, papa, apple, and a couple others. These are words that she says frequently, but she understands SO much that we say to her. She can point to all of her facial features and several body parts (feet, belly, hands, head, hair). She knows what to do when we say, "go get a book", "find the blocks", "dance", "shake", "go upstairs", "go downstairs", "let's go change your diaper", "do you want to eat?", "it's time for bed", "let's go bye-bye"....and MANY MANY more!

Her favorite foods still include avocado and banana, but she loves anything that resembles a cracker and LOVES to say cracker. She drinks cows milk really well now, which took awhile. She will eat pretty much anything that we give her, but isn't thrilled with fish or grilled chicken. She also spits out asparagus. She she doesn't like something she just opens her mouth and lets the food fall out.

Diaper changes are still a challenge most days and Gage keeps his distance. Raelyn tries to give Gage "hugs" when he is close by, but Gage just endures it and growls. She has been making this face when she's mad at us where she furrows her brow and just stares at us...it's cute now, but I can see she might be developing a little attitude. She's better about not wanting to climb up our stairs in the basement also. She loves to dance and do anything that involves looking at a book. We sing alot of songs and read alot of books.
