The doc came and broke Lyndsay's water at 8:30 on 12/5, she then started pitocin. After being on the pitocin for 3hrs, Lyndsay was only 2cm dilated. Then the "mother of all" contractions happened.... 25mins long! The nurse was shocked and Jackson was very nervous (but he hid it well). The nurse was close to giving Lyndsay a shot that would have halted all of the contractions immediately, but the baby's heart rate was ok so the nurse let Lyndsay go on for a few more minutes. After this contraction, Lyndsay had accelerated to 6cm dilated. 10 mins later, the nurse checked again and Lyndsay was 8cms. The doc was called back into the hospital and barely made it in time for the pushing to begin. Lyndsay delivered without an epidural and only pushed for 55 minutes.
